After the Pitch: Entrepreneurial Financing Insights

The University of Chicago Graduate School of Business will host this event at their City campus. The interactive session with investors and a local entrepreneur will go beyond the BBC’s Dragons’ Den format. The investor panel will include leading investors from the U.K. and the U.S. including Index Ventures and Intel capital. During this session you will obtain an understanding of the investor evaluation and deal structuring process that is ‘after the pitch’.

Format: The four segments of the event will include:

  1. a presentation by the entrepreneur, Make Your Mark ambassador Riaz Agha, regarding his business opportunity;
  2. a Q&A discussion between the investors and the entrepreneur to initiate due diligence ;
  3. a meeting of the investors without the entrepreneur to discuss the deal and possible structuring; and
  4. a wrap-up discussion by a University of Chicago professor to solidify the key learning points for the audience and to highlight possible differences in deal structuring between the US and the UK.
