4pm- 6pm Manor High School, Copse Close, Oadby, Leics LE2 4FU ‘The Secondary Student Voice and Creativity’ This free network meeting for creative practitioners and teachers looks at student voice and creative leadership in a secondary school context. The meeting will be planned and facilitated by pupils from Manor High School in collaboration with creative practitioner Andrew Fox. The event provides the chance for teachers, young people and artists to discuss their creative work and how young people can be part of planning and leading projects.

If you are considering investment finance as an option for your business, then this intensive one day workshop is for you. The workshop will help you to scrutinise your business from an investor's perspective and help you to understand how to present an attractive investment proposition. The workshop will cover a wide range of topics, including business strategy and planning, sales and marketing from an investor's perspective, legal considerations, financial forecasting and pitching for investment.

Market Gravity is a specialist growth and innovation consultancy that helps companies to introduce new business initiatives from concept through to delivery.

Their presentation will cover the key themes of their recent publication "Adventures of a Corporate Entrepreneur". This will be followed by a representative from Lloyds Banking Group who will explain how they try to apply these principles in the bank.

The structure of the guest lecture and Q&A session will follow some of the key stages of creating a corporate venture, e.g.

Global Entrepreneurship Week 2011 is approaching us and that means it is time for another Premier League Enterprise Challenge. Each club is searching for a school group to represent them at a national final down at Tottenham Hotspur, London.

All you have to do is come up with a solution to the task as set by Richard Scudamore, Chief Executive of the Premier League. The best group will then represent Newcastle United FC at the national final against other Premier League clubs.

To launch our preparations for GEW 2011, Ed Balls (Shadow Chancellor) will be visiting us to speak and debate Youth Entrepreneurship, Youth Unemployment and Careers to some of our 6th Form Business and Economics students. During his visit he will also be interviewed by a handful of our GLA students.

Schools will have the opportunity to make a 'student company' video, as well as being able to videoconference with a number of schools around the world.

The best videos will be chosen to go on the official unleashingideas.org website that millions of people around the world will be able to view! Participants will also receive an official GEW partner badge that you can put up on your school website.
