Create Your Future - York Business Week

Create Your Future 12th November 2012, 10.30-3pm The Hospitium, Museum Gardens, York Free of charge

Create your Future (CYF) is organised through a three strong partnership between, NYBEP, York Museums Trust and SCY and will take place on 12th November 2012 at The Hospitium, Museum Gardens, York, during Global Entrepreneurship Week and also marks the start of York Business Week.

CYF is a key conference for Creative and Cultural Practitioners offering a unique opportunity to meet creative and cultural local businesses, organisations, networks and support agencies in York and North Yorkshire. The event is now in its fifth year and this year there will be an opportunity for young people (16-25) to 'pitch' their ideas, developed from a brief issued prior to the event, to real businesses with the hope of securing a short contract to complete their project for the business.

At this years event the NYBEP Entrepreneur Exchange will be represented by a range of established entrepreneurs and enterprising executives who have been there done it and now want to share their knowledge and experiences.

They will be available throughout the day to talk through the ideas and issues that the next generation of business people have, to assist in the thought processes behind new business start-ups with advice and direction and hopefully develop a network of support for the future.

““The Entrepreneur Exchange at CYF is part-funded through the net315 project which is run in the region by an ‘incubation and education’ consortium including Further Education colleges. It is developing facilities and services that provide additional support for college and community learners to move into and make a success of enterprise. Net315 is supported financially by the European Union, attracting £5.6 million from the European Regional Development Fund as part of Europe’s support for the region’s economic development through the Yorkshire and Humber ERDF Programme.”
