Ideas Cafe

Event code: GEW12-33017

Where it all begins. This fun and interactive workshop is run by the Scottish Institute for Enterprise, with the aim of inspiring research students and postdocs at the University of Glasgow to think more creatively and apply their energy and ingenuity to solving exciting challenges. You don't need to already have a business idea to participate. Instead, this workshop introduces a 'design thinking' process for seeking out and identifying opportunities that suit your own unique interests and skills. You'll also get some advice on the kinds of support available should you wish to take your idea forward. If you have an existing idea, this workshop can help validate or develop that idea, given its emphasis on insight development, providing solutions to problems, creating value and customer empathy. It is open to research students and postdocs at the University of Glasgow and is particularly aimed at researchers from technical disciplines. After the ideas cafe we'll be visiting the Gilchrist PG Club for an informal 'meet the entrepreneur' event.
