Speednetworking Year 7 - a lively activity which engages all the students. Students are paired for 4 minutes and in that time they must use the skills of communication which includes listening to their partner. During the lunchtime allocated to this event, students are given the chance to make contact with up to 5 - 6 other students. Some of these contacts may be new for the first time, but even where they are not , the students are encouraged to find out more about each other by giving a brief comment on a variety of topics.

Local Entrepreneurs were invited to Coloma to talk to Year 10 students about their enterprise activities. The students gained a wonderful insight into what makes an idea work and the qualities and skills needed to succeed in a fast changing workplace. The motto they left the talk with was "just do it" - a slogan attached to the Nike label which summed up the heart of being enterprising. The additional bonus was that the students met an ex-pupil, who through a variety of social enterprise projects has made a great difference in the local area
