The Business Studies team was awarded with a £1,000 prize for Creativity and Innovation at the National Muslim Teachers Awards.
This money was invested in a pioneering enterprise project; where Business and Enterprise students were divided into teams and given a £40 start-up capital. As a part of their course, they were required to create a real business plan based on a unique idea, which fills a gap in the market.
Through our partnership with Town & Country Markets we secured 5 stalls in the Luton Town Market, where students sold were able to sell their products to a wider market.

In Y5 the children have been working hard using all their enterprise skills to produce their very own museum about the local area. The museum has a theme of past, present and future in Thorpe Hesley. For this the children have had to use their enterprise skills to find out information about the local area, this has included visits to the local church and library as well as welcoming guests from the local community to ask them questions about Thorpe Hesley. This included a special visit this week from the local Women's Institute to tell them about history associated with the village.
