6th Form students travel to local Primary Schools to lead an enterprise challenge designed by Covent Garden London with teams of Year 5 pupils. They have a day to come up with a new innovative product for a stall in the Apple Market in Covent Garden, a marketing plan and a creative pitch. A winning team from each primary school is then choosen and competes in the Semi Final at the Ursuline High School on 18th November 2011. The 3 winning teams then get to pitch their ideas to the directors of Covent Garden London at a final next week and the winning idea will be chosen.

Teams of Year students will have an off time-table day. They will work in teams of 5 to come up with an idea to promote a country. This is linked with the Olympic games. They will do finance, advertising and presentations.

All the 1000 students and 100+ staff in the school are invited to take part in an Enterprise Quiz which will be posted on the school VLE. House points to all those who get 75% correct and all those who get 100% will go into a draw for prizes.

To mark the final of the final of the Premier League Enterprise Challenge as well as first day of Global Entrepreneurhsip week 2011, this event will provide information on how GEW is playing a key role in making the UK a more entrepreneurial nation. Speakers include Sir Keith Mills and YBI’s Andrew Devenport.
