Tech Wednesday is a new monthly tech meetup for the Birmingham area. We’re meeting every third Wednesday of the month at Resource Café in Birmingham Science Park Aston to come together and chat about all the latest industry developments, to network and meet similar minded individuals for possible collaboration.

Birmingham Science Park Aston and Birmingham City Council are delighted to announce a regional “Technology” focused day as part of Global Entrepreneurship Week.
Global Entrepreneurship Week is a worldwide movement of entrepreneurial people, with millions unleashing their enterprising talents and turning their ideas into reality. Global Entrepreneurship Week is an opportunity to showcase and celebrate all the amazing work that goes on year-round. Over half of all young people in the UK want to start a business. Yet only 1 in 20 of them actually do.

Year 11 students will be visiting Concept Conferencing, a conference centre run by blind and partially sighted people, for a conference on Social Enterprise. This will be run by Martin Hogg at Citizen Coaching and will students the opportunity to learn about Social Enterprise and how they can have an impact within their own community.

The annual EBP Enterprise Challenge for teams of 8, Year 10 students from secondary schools in Wolverhampton. Students work with business facilitators to complete and present a solution to the task.
Marked for their: creativity , marketing , business planning and presentations, the two winning teams will go forward to represent the City in the Black Regional Final. It's a fantastic day in a highly -charged, competitive environment and one that schools and students won't want to miss.
