GeoVation is an open innovation network aimed at developing new ideas based on geography. The project is backed by the UK mapping agency Ordnance Survey.
Anyone can enter an idea into the GeoVation Ideas Challenge for the opportunity to win a day out at Ordnance Survey, but you also have a chance of getting your hands on the £21,000 development fund for your idea by entering the GeoVation Awards Programme. Both competitions are open from the 6 October 2009 until 4 January 2010.

The aim of the competition is to look for the team with the best Guerrilla marketing strategy aimed at increasing entrepreneurship at your University.
The marketing strategy should target fellow students and should take place during Global Entrepreneurship Week (16-22nd November.)
The process for entering the competition is as follows:
1. Register online
2. Create a team
3. Watch the online videos which help develop the skills required
4. Plan your marketing, either online or face to face
5. Go out and do it during the week of the 16-22nd November 2009

An official activity of Global Entrepreneurship Week, the 2009 Global Innovation Tournament is a fast-paced competition that will challenge you and your team to solve a common, world problem in about eight days, being as enterprising as possible. Great ideas are not enough – you actually need to implement ideas and deliver results.
Teams must convey their results in a short video posted to YouTube. The mystery problem will be revealed on November 4 (GMT-8) and submissions will be due Nov 13 (GMT-8).
