Schools and colleges run 1,000’s of amazing enterprise lessons and events during Global Entrepreneurship Week every year; young people remain the back-bone of the campaign. Many schools and colleges run their own events but there are some amazing organisations that are out there to support you and run enterprise events for you if you need.

Using the Birmingham City FC brand we give young people a unique insight into how a football club works and introduce them to the basic principals of business through a range of interactive learning opportunities.
Participants will work towards nationally recognised qualifications tailored to reflect abilities and age range. We seek to identify specific requirements to national curriculum and work closely with the participants to help them to achieve their objectives.

Developed by Coca-Cola Enterprises, The Real Business Challenge (RBC) is a national competition for Year 10 students. It is free and gives learners the opportunity of working on a live project alongside business mentors from one of the world’s leading brands. The challenge aims to develop a broad range of skills for greater employability and entrepreneurial flair for participating students.

We will facilitate work experience for young people via our 60 plus tenant businesses in our two Business Centres, we will also seek out opportunities for young people to interact with the 30 local well established businesses who sponsor our Agency, we will provide advice and training for students who are thinking of setting up business on a free coaching session to help them in a (Group) coaching session for 2 hours with a free Business Plan CD for each person who attends. About every two years we renew our Colbea Start Up Guide. This November will be renewing our guide and copies of our new Start Up Guide will be available for distribution to young people to support this initiative

Mosaic will be holding a range of events through Global Entrepreneurship Week to launch its national Enterprise Challenge Competition. The Apax-Mosaic Enterprise Challenge is a national competition that aims to inspire knowledge and enthusiasm about business amongst young people. Now about to enter its fifth year, the Enterprise Challenge sees teams of school children, supported by specialist business mentors, compete in an online business game, which places them in a realistic business scenario where they develop, market and sell a new product. The Enterprise Challenge encourages students to demonstrate how key components of business such as finance, sales, marketing and production come together to determine success.
