To celebrate Enterprise Week 2008, Striding Out launched Future 100. This competition was about finding 100 talented young entrepreneurs with entrepreneurial flair and innovation, committed to progressing a responsible business.

They held events at the British Library, London and Blockburne House, Liverpool to showcase and celebrate the winners. Ethical fashion shows, speednetworking, and moving stories from some of the Future 100 winners inspired guests and the whole event was one of the most successful events ever run by Striding Out.

Striding Out Future 100 eventLiam Black, former Director of Fifteen and now founder of Wavelength, said: ‘Future 100 was one of the most inspiring and thought-provoking events of 2008. To be in a room wall to wall with the young people who’ll be shaping the future for the better was a humbling experience, and it was a real honour to host.’

Striding Out founder, Helen Wilkinson, outlined the importance of such an event in the current climate: ‘Challenging economic times can offer opportunities to question the way we operate as both a business community and a society. The ‘Future 100’ young entrepreneurs are changing the face of everyday business and improving commerce’s impact on the wider world.’
