Speednetworking on the London Eye 2008

On Tuesday 18 November, we hosted our flagship speednetworking event, a sunset flight on the London Eye.
We were joined by 60 young entrepreneurs, on the same day as hundreds of other speednetworking events around the globe. Among them special guest Lord Bilimoria, founder of Cobra Beer, Fraser Doherty, superjam and Alexandra Finley, finsforhim.com and Ben Keene from Tribewanted. It was hosted by speednetworking enthusiast Oli Barret – speednetworked 12 countries in 22 days – who added his own special energy to the event.
Lord Bilimoria spoke about how he came up with the concept of less gassy beer to eat with a curry while at University. He also mentioned his buzz for business. “As soon as the first batch of reorders start rolling in,” he said. “You can’t beat that feeling.”
Make Your Mark Ambassador Fraser Doherty took his grandmother’s recipe for jam and managed to stock it in leading supermarkets like Waitrose.
Alexandra Finley sells a range of shoes for men through Selfridges in shades such as Ibiza Raspberry and Mustique Pistachio.
Everyone really enjoyed sharing stories about their trials and tribulations of starting a business.
