The weeks that were..

Since its inception six years ago, Global Entrepreneurship Week has seen millions of attendees at hundreds of thousands of events in almost 100 countries.

The scale and quality of the week has attracted the support of Presidents and Prime Ministers in 16 countries, as well as significant support from other large organisations, such as Virgin Group, Dell Computers and The British Library

In 2009 we introduced high impact events and a grand total of 3565 were ran in the UK.

In 2008 New Zealand kicked off the week with a speed networking event in Gisborne, the first place that the sun rises on earth.

In 2007 1 in 5 secondary schools in the UK held events during the week.

During the week in 2006 over 1300 pieces of media coverage were generated , worth around £5 million.

In 2005 all expectations were exceeded when event numbers shot up 85% from the previous year.

90% of participants in 2004 agreed to take part again after the success of their events.
