A short practical course in Creative Web Design enabling would-be entrepreneurs to construct and design their own web page. The course is accredited by the University College Birmingham and carries 10 CAT credits at Level 4 enabling the students to build on this with other CAT accredited courses and on successful completion of 60 CAT credits gain a Certificate in Professional Development at Level 4. The cost of this course is £175 and students should email Paul Matthews at p.matthews@ucb.ac.uk to book a place

Aston students are incredibly entrepreneurial. We aim to celebrate the work and achievements of our students through some inspirational video interviews and case studies. We will bring you interviews with students from BSEEN a graduate business start-up programme. Sam Wilson, President of Aston Entrepreneurs will talk about the entrepreneurial activities for students at Aston. ABS student Anisa Hahgdadi will talk about her experience as a social entrepreneur.

In our latest Expert Perspectives event taking place during Global Entrepreneurship Week, market research specialists and Aston Business School alumni John Poole and Angie Lowe will share their experiences of establishing their own businesses and impart their knowledge on how best to research the market for your enterprise.
John and Angie will highlight the benefits of market research, and demonstrate why it is so important to start-up businesses. They will also talk through the practicalities of conducting good market research and explain how to collect data that counts.
