Cardiff Metropolitan University students will be acting as bankers at the stock Market Challenge 2011. The Stock Market Challenge gives students from local FE colleges the chance to compete on a virtual stock market for a day. The students will compete in teams and will have to buy and sell share to try and make as much money as they can in the given 24 hour period. The event is run jointly by the CAVE consortium which is made up of Cardiff and Vale College, Bridgend College, St David’s Catholic College and Cardiff Metropolitan University.

Students from Cardiff Metropolitan University will be competing at The Pitch 2011. Two teams from Cardiff Metropolitan University will be pitching to the panel of Dragon hoping to secure funding for the sport related business idea. The pitches will take place in front of a live audience at the SWALEC Stadium, Sophia Gardens, Cardiff. The event is run jointly between the CAVE consortium and Sports Leaders UK and sponsored by the Co-op and Sport Wales.

Bee Creative is Cardiff Metropolitan University’s annual enterprise competition, which this year focuses on developing an App. This competition is open to all current students and the winning App concept will win the opportunity to attend an App development course as well as one to one advice from App specialists on how to develop their winning idea further. The competition will be launched on Tuesday 15th November with the Big App Breakfast where students can come along for a bacon sandwich and find out more about Bee Creative 2011 and Global Enterprise Week.
