The 'NatWest Ambitions Bus started its UK tour in the North West on Friday 16th September at the Celebrate Cheshire Event at Chester Racecourse continuing its journey onto 16 other locations in the next two months including both Liverpool and Manchester. NatWest customers and non-customers may benefit from a range of free business advice onboard the bus. Relationship Managers will be available to offer a business review to SME owners.

A globally themed one day event were Y10 pupils in teams will set up a business to bid for a catering contract for a dinner for a group of international guests. Each group is given a different country for their function. They have to decide on the menu and do all the costings including the venue and staffing and also create a sample table layout. They them bid for the contract by doing a presentation to a judges from NatWest Bank and a senior manager from the hotel and restaurant division of Whitbread plc.

In this interactive session you will learn how to successfully pitch for investment whether it is for less than £10k or more than £1m. We will cover common pitfalls such as how to structure your presentation, how to understand the psychology of investors and how to support this with the right documents. The practice pitching - in session could lead to an opportunity to do a pitch for real to win a package of marketing support worth £2,500 as part of the Action for Social Enterprise conference 25 - 26 November in Manchester.

These awards are part of The Prince's Trust Celebrate Success Award series. The RBS Enterprise Award celebrates a young person who has overcome hardship to set up in business. A regional RBS representative has been involved in judging each award and is presenting the award at the event.
The awards will be taking place at The Point at Lancashire County Cricket Club, Talbot Road, Old Trafford, Manchester M16 0PX
