Run jointly by Plymouth Business School and the Faculty of Arts.

The competition is a day of product design and business planning activity, culminating in presentations and prize-giving. The day involves lots of fun and learning, including having meetings with 'Experts' - PU lecturers and business people from well-known local companies.

Through 'learning by doing' pupils will demonstrate and appreciate a different range of skills to those they normally use in the classroom.

The speed networking lunch aims to provide fresh contacts to members of Plymouth's business community through networking, business sharing and socialising.

You will have the opportunity to meet other like-minded business people in a friendly and casual atmosphere. This can then be built on at subsequent events and meetings to bring together prosperous business relationships and working partnerships.

The Western Morning News is holding is first business awards during Enterprise Week on 17 November to highlight achievements of companies across the region.

The Business awards will be held at St. Mellion International Resort, and companies based in the Western Morning News circulation areas of Devon, Cornwall and parts of Somerset and Dorset are eligible to enter the awards.
